February Knitting Class!

scarfEver wanted to learn to knit, but just never sat down to do it? Or are you a seasoned knitter with all the skills who wants to share your special wisdom? This month, join us for a “knitalong” that will get you working on a project that you will warm you (or a friend) up during winter months (believe it or not, it’s technically still winter!)

When: Sunday, February 22nd at 1:00 pm

Where: Common Room

Who: Members and their friends & family

We will have a supply of basic needles/sizes and various yarns available for those who just want to come and give it a whirl. If you prefer to customize your experience and take your project home to work on, please bring your own yarn (you’ll need about 120 yards to knit a scarf) and some needles.

Tips:

  • Choose a medium to bulky weight yarn (recommended for value and quality: Patons Classic Wool or Lion Brand Thick & Quick) and a pair of 4.5 – 7 mm needles. (All available at Michael’s.)
  • Choose a variegated yarn if you wish for your project to have some stripes.
  • If you’re even more ambitious, choose a pattern that you would like to try, and we can help you figure out the skills needed to tackle it!

We also welcome everyone of every skill level to attend and just enjoy this social event and enjoy tea and treats on us!

Kids table/child-minding will also be available.

Stay tuned: BINGO returns in the month of March! (This will be a FUN only, no cash event with prizes.)
